Up above the world so high..

Wash cloth #2 is done! I chose a variegated yarn and star pattern for this one. Chloe calls stars "up highs" thanks to the nursery rhyme!

Practical knitting

Nothing spectacular, but still fun all the same!

My MIL gave us some crocheted pot scrubbies for Christmas a few years in a row. Well, we didn't get one this year and I decided.. why not make my own? Now, I could have figured out the simple crochet and done it that way. But I also could just knit a little garter stitch and call it good. ;-)

I made this by cutting up a yard of nylon netting into 2" strips. Easy peasy and only $.77!

I've also started on a wash cloth knitting adventure. Chloe's baby wash cloths are just grimy after almost 2 years of use so I decided to knit some instead of buying new ones. And I can put pictures of all her favorite things on them AND coordinate the colors with her bathroom. Here's the first one... a beautiful blue "foo-fly!" as she calls it.

Many more to follow!

iPod cozy!

Justin bought me an early anniversary gift last week.. a brand new shiny 80 GB iPod classic! :-) I guess I was a good wife this year!

Well.. after being tossed in the diaper bag (ok, ok... gently placed) my shiny new toy was already sporting some scuffs and scratches. *sigh* Instead of forking over $20 for a case I just decided to knit my own.

And voila!

Knit on sz. 4's with some random German sock yarn that's been in my stash for a few years (and I think, destined NEVER to become socks). The pattern is my own.

As usual when I make things up as I go along, it's not perfect. But it'll do the job!
